Of Pagans Trolls and Religious Persecution

Pagans and dealing with Religion's that for centuries have killed yours!

What kinds of Trolls are living in your cultural and religious bridging efforts?

Old Rome was master of cultural appropriation, dilution and destruction at the time it destroyed the Druids and conquered their cultural base. Just a few hundred years later the Rome Church and its Popes bragged about absorbing the old religions holy sites and their-branding of our celebrations and history.

These very effective tools were not forgotten and were reapplied with deadly vigor in the New World's discovery and conquest, again just a few hundred years later. Give another hundred years or so and we find the colonizing Nation States continued to use these same principles against Native populations.

Almost always outlawing the use of the local language and customs. Mercy should not Scotland and Ireland or Manx still remember this? This practice has gone on well into the 20^th century all over the World.

Today there are new Tribes being formed or reformed, often in Social and Cyberspace. I would think that any semi aware folks today are aware of the use of profession paid trolls in all Social News spaces.

In America most of the so called Terrorist busted are poor dupes that the FBI or someone else in government recruited and funded while pretending to be a XYZ or believe PDQ.

Is there anyone that is not familiar with the 17-19 century term Agent Provocateur, or its modern version “ of Troll or protest / crowd infection” ?

My point in all of this is while Pagan, Pagus, Druid Heathen movements are having a revival and living in peace and cooperation with the current Religious power structure is a noble goal. Yet we are also cutting into the Capitalistic concept of Market Share.

Anyone would be beyond naive to not see these secretive forces at work today in all aspect of society.
Now being run by today's new generation of “Dr. Goebbels” spin Doctors, many with PhD’s in psychology and experts in its use in propaganda. Most for sale to the highest bidder others lost in religious fever and Jihad in any of the major or minor religions of today. Joseph would be be so proud if he was still in Summerland it would bring tears to his eyes.

Thoughts on what Magick really is:

Magick is a direct and indirect one way and two way commutations with Nature and the objects in our both near and far environments that appear Occult (or hidden) to others around you. As it at its core is a purely mental process. Even as it is most often accompanied by ritual and alchemical tools and processes that tune and enhance it.

So is Magick a Religion in its own right? This is much harder to really answer but I will try. For a Druid (of our Oak) Magick is about being Plugged in to "The Psychic Network of Life on both sides of the Veil". Energy is Energy, for some of us the Singing of the Circuits is enough to guide our Moral development.

For others Magick, Religions, Faith and Laws are just tools and levers of Power to use against others or to follow like blind sheep. Yet these tools can serve as helpers for all of us, as we relearn  to "Real See" in this World of Mad Blindness that we have been reborn to.

Protect your Faith:

 

Go Public in a quite way, be Proud of your path, study its history both good and bad. Never preach, never try to convert another's path, but never allow others to change yours. Live a life that shows your beliefs and tolerance of others by example. Learn as much about the history of all faiths that you can both good and bad. Understand and accept that if Pagus or even just a different branch of a faiths, others in the past and also today may hate you and even try to kill you.

Be prepared to protect the freedom of all and no religious faiths by being part of the political process, keeping informed about threats to anyones freedom, voting for Sane Ration people at all levels of government. Know what is being taught to your kids and every bodies kids in school, protest if it is harmful to any. Keep freedom in school and public Liberians, see to it that your faith has its fair share of books there and in book stores too. Start teaching your children about the Magick, Psychic and wonder of nature and life everyday. Also teach them to not push this knowledge on others may see them as a threat or danger. Teach them to blend in without compromising their beliefs.

Use your Magick every day and share things like why the days are named the way they are or how the seasons and "Holly or Holy days" came to be honored. Watch modern movies and TV shows that have your faith portrayed in them, understand that many people will really believe this fiction is real. Have a survival plan for your family, coven, group, church, grove, temple, etc etc. Both for natural, political, or religious emergencies or attacks. Last accept that you and your faith could be labeled as Terrorist overnight in these crazy time of HomeLand InSecurity and those that gain by FEAR MONGERING.

On Other People's Faith.

At a young age I learned that I could poke holes in other peoples faith and tear it from them.  As I grew older I also learned that my Mother's blind faith covered her in a imaginary security blanket that gave comfort in our very hard life.

After Vietnam and covered with the blackness of useless death I laid down my swords of (We Are Right), hate and harm and accepted my role in this life as an X solider and now "Sky Pilot " that yes had been there and saw the truth of it,  if you remember the song.

I also came to realize that as a Druid or for any thinking Pagan, that the road we walk is a very hard one. Understanding ones actions and talking responsibility for them, is very different than blind faith. For me there is no God or Blood to forgive me and say ok it is now all right my little zombie slave.  This road I walk is often cold and has no blankets to offer anyone.

So I learned that when my mother would say that she prayed for my soul, to smile and be glad for her that her blanket of faith kept her so safe and warm.  We should all be glad that others care for us and smile as they try to share their ever so warm imaginary blanket with us.  Please do not take it from them as truth is to hard and cold a robe for most to wear.
